Wendy Trethewey has travelled extensively and considers her experiences to other countries such as the American Southwest, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Europe as being instrumental in her development as an artist.  She stands for all that is beautiful in the world and sees herself as a recorder of people, interiors and landscapes.

As an international portraitist, she has painted hundreds of commissions for the military, institutions and private clients including dog owners.  Wendy is a Premier Pastelist, awarded by the Pastel Society of Canada.  She also is very comfortable working in oils, acrylics, water colour, pen and ink and mixed media.

She also enjoys working in collaboration with other artists.

Being a military artist, her work is represented in the permanent collection of the Canadian War Museum.

Her work can be seen in many public and private collections throughout Canada, the USA, Australia and England.
